GT/XRC VESC Upgrade Kit

Ready to upgrade your GT or XRC (XRC can only use stage 1) in power but not ready to drop the coin for a Full Atlow Stage 3 VEXR build? Then this is the drop in VESC based system for you! It is user installable if you have some experience taking your board apart or working with electronics. We also offer Install and tuning services for these kits, just shoot us an email to arrange that.

This kit comes in two stages:

Stage 1 – Replaces the stock FM Controller, BMS, and Lights and gives you a big increase in torque and midrange cruising power. Uses your stock GT Charger and Battery. Cruise in the mid 20s with confidence with the added torque at speed. You will tradeoff some range due to the increased torque. The BMS in the stage 1 kit is a dumb bms meaning you wont be able to check your individual cell voltages but you can still tell your overall battery %.

Stage 2 – In addition to the parts in Stage 1, Stage 2 comes with an ennoid xlite smart bms so you can monitor the individual cell voltages of your battery. Unlike other upgrade kits, this kits bms turns on with your board so you can monitor the battery even while you ride. Stage 2 is meant to be used with a 20s2p 21700 battery which we also offer. Comes with an 80A Discharge Fuse that swaps the polarity from a conventionally wired battery to the reverse wired Stock FM Harness, a charger and dongle, new chargeport and wiring, and some misc wires. This kit offers more torque, range, and speed over the Stage 1. Speeds up to 30mph are possible!

Stage 2 has 3 purchasing options:
Full build kit – Includes stage 1 parts, stage 2 parts, and a 20s2p p50b battery
Stage 2 only – Assumes you have already purchased Stage 1 and just needs the Stage 2 parts and battery.
Stage 2 without battery – Assumes you have stage 1 parts and a 20s2p battery already

Both Stage 1 and 2 using a 20s2p 21700 battery are meant to work in the stock GT controller and battery enclosures. The Stage 2 battery will not fit an XRC battery enclosure.

Comes pre-programmed with the latest LCM firmware for the option you choose. If you want a Stage 1 kit delivered with 20s LCM firmware please notate that in the purchase notes.

ATLOWSHOP Release and Waiver of Liability Form Custom Built Personal Electric Vehicles (PEVs)

  • Assumption of Risk
I am aware and understand that the operation of Personal Electric Vehicles (PEVs) is a potentially dangerous activity that involves the risk of injury, disability, death, or property damage. I acknowledge that these risks may result from or be compounded by the actions, omissions, or negligence of the Release, its employees, or aftermarket parts manufacturers. I understand that while the Release has implemented measures to reduce the risk of injury from the activity, the Release cannot guarantee that I will not be injured due to my operation of the PEV.  NOTWITHSTANDING THESE RISKS, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I AM VOLUNTARILY PURCHASING THE PEV WITH THE INTENT OF PARTICIPATING IN THE ACTIVITY WITH KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE DANGERS INVOLVED.   

  • Agreement to Hold Harmless
I hereby expressly waive and release any and all claims now known or hereafter known against the Release, its employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns (collectively, “Releases”), on account of injury, illness, disability, death, or property damage arising out of or attributed to my operation of this Personal Electric Vehicle (PEV).   

  • Release
Both parties represent that they understand their right to review all aspects of this Release with the attorneys of their choice, that they have had the opportunity to consult with attorneys of their choice, that they have carefully read and fully understand all provisions of this Release, and that they are freely, knowingly, and voluntarily entering into this Release.
